     TASK 2

SIMPLICITY

Canary Wharf

What makes the photo special is the simplicity of the elements that exist. The stone wall, the grass, and the way in which the sun falls on the grass on the ground and reflects on the wall is so simple but is what gives that lovely color to the picture.

SHAPE

Canary wharf tube entrance

The first thing that you observe when you see this structure is the shape. It has an oval formation and the way which is linked to the ground gives you the feeling of a transparent cave which leads to the underground.

                                                                          TEXTURE

Canary Wharf

From this photo you can clearly see the texture of the water as it falls gently from the rocks and becomes one with the existing water of the stone pond.

                                                                         COMPLEXITY

Canary Wharf Jubilee place shopping mall.

Complexity at this photo is obviously visible by the complex combination of the structure shapes. From the front there are triangles, squares, oblique lines and at the back side there are oval and rectangles buildings.

                                                                             HORIZON

Hadlow collage Kent.

Horizon line in that case is the line which separates the photo in two parts. Earth and sky.

At the first half of the photo we can see an open area in front of the Hadlow collage. At some point at the background the landscape ends with a line which separates the image and leads to the second half of the photo which is only the sky

                                                                       FOREGROUND

Canada Water

In this photo you can see two different images of London. The foreground and the background show the various forms that the city takes. The technology advanced side of Canary Wharf at the back of a line of typical English houses along the river. At the very front like the main subject is an old metal structure that is use to tie up ships.

                                                                                  OUTLINE

Hadlow collage.

A beautiful place with ponds in the middle of a garden at hadlow collage

There are two rectangular ponds which both lead to one bigger square pond full of water. This is a place designed with symmetrical outlines made of concrete.

                                                                            OPENESS

This is a beautiful landscape in Canada Water London with a stunning view. It is an open area of water. The distance between the two sides of the river is huge and that’s makes the openness even bigger.

                                                                        COLOUR

A beautiful color in the sky late in the afternoon at Surrey Quays London at the background of a building and some trees

The sunrise in conjunction with clouds leaves this flashy orange color in the sky

                                                                      LANDSCAPE

Another photo from Hadlow College. It is a garden in the area of the college which combines colorful flowers with small and big trees, shrubs and ponds.

All these things together create an incredible landscape for the students who can admire this wonderful garden.

                                                                                SPACE

This bridge at Canary wharf London connects two buildings, and automatically the space between them which is the river underneath becomes matter of a few seconds walking. The space between the two sides is not too big but for the people using that bridge every day from a building to the other it is almost non-existed.

                                                                       BACKGROUND

The only attractive thing in this photo is the background. There is nothing interesting except the tall buildings with the glass hiding behind other shorter buildings. At the front there is nothing to get your attention.
